The recipe for rural development
in the new economy is based on three key ingredients of knowledge, innovation
and leadership. Various types of economic and social development in rural
communities will require these three elements to be successful. An important
starting point is to understand what each of these key ingredients are and how
they play a role in the development of rural communities.
I started writing this blog recently to help put my thoughts on paper. Working and researching in community development for the past 10 years has created a lot of insights and ideas as well as raising a lot of questions that need further exploring. This blog is focused on sharing research, ideas and perspectives on community and rural development based on experiences past and present, interests and pressing issues.
